FRENCH CLUB SOIREE

ENJOYABLE MUSICAL PROGRAMME At the French Club last evening an enjoyable programme, under the direction of Dr. It. de Boissiere, was greatly appreciated by those present. A selection of gramophone records by the leading French musicians and actors w£is presented by Mr. It. W. Strong. The composers represented in the selection were:—Bizet, Gounod Massenet, Thomas, Saint Saens, Charpentier, Debussy and Delibes. Artists whose records were played included Cortot, Phibaud, Sacha Guitry, Thill, Calve, Ninon Vallin and Sarah Bernhardt.
