GONE SOUTH

Worthy Bond Leaves Mardella Stud TRUSTWORTHY HIS BEST GET The highly bred American sire, Worthy Bond, who for several seasons has been located at the Mardella stud farm, was on Saturday shipped South, by Miss Edwards. The Axworthy horse has been secured by Mr. J. Gordon, of Canterbury, where he will be at the service of breeders. The best performed of Worthy Bond’s stock in this district is Trustworthy, a mare that promises this season to bring her sire further into the limelight. The ex-Mardella horse has some promising representatives in the Great Northern Derby, including Checkers, Worthy Chief, Worthy Nor and Betterwin.
