OTAHUHU JOTTINGS
SATURDAY’S TRACK WORK SEBISCA TROTTING WELL Although the Auckland relief fixture is close at hand, and the Otahuhu tracks were in excellent order on Saturday, very little fast work was undertaken . on the suburban course. Sebisca, Floraline and Gold Sovereign set off on a two-mile session, the first-named going out in front. Gold Sovereign was not trotting Steadily, and lost ground, but Floraline made an effort to catch Sebisca in the final half, but failed. Sebisca’s display was of a solid order. Windchit trotted pleasingly over 12 furlongs, showing an even gait and good balance. The half-sister to Betty Moko is now on the up grade. * * * Returning To Form Master Huia was responsible for an interesting mile task, sprinting With plenty of dash over the#last few furlongs. This pacer is showing a return to form for S. Hangar. Trustworthy and Stanmoor were associated in a medium pace allotment over a couple of circuits, with a livener in the home straight. Both moved freely and are well forward for the approaching fixture. * * Dexterity trotted at a solid clip for two rounds, maintaining a nice even gait. The young trotter should later j on give his careful trainer. G. Robertson, a return for his attentiveness. An Improved Mare Lady Yvonne was not asked for a special effort, having worked satisfactorily the day previous. The mare is improving for G. Mitchell, and may race more solidly this season. * * # • Great Ballin looks in great heart, and the game pacer has shown that he is ready for forthcoming engagements in his latest tasks. There are feW gamer finishers than the Ballin representative. * * * Trainer Gillard has Reliance working in good fashion and the old pacer appears to have taken a fresh lease of life. The same owner is preparing the promising trotter All Special for spring racing. * m * Others given useful essays were Kohara, Silver Link, Judy Thorpe, Amy Boy, The Tartar. Whakahihi, Rockburn. Kingsclere, Hal Chimes and Rosalie’s Triumph.
