TEAM FOR AUCKLAND FIXTURE
NELSON>AN’S BAD LUCK
Leo Berkett, the well-known Nelson trainer, arrived during the week-end with his trio for the Auckland Trotting Club s relief fixture, which opens at Alexandra Park on Saturday. The team includes the trotter Ocklev Wood, an aged mare by Woodland \\ hispers. which showed fair form last season, and the pacers Nelsonian and Nelson’s Chum, the latter a novice by Nelson Bingen.
Nelsonian, a five-year-old son of Nelson Bingen and Kmpress Eugene, has raced with varying success during the last two seasons'. After arrival in Auckland Berkett’s charge was unlucky enough to injure one of his feet through picking up a nail. The Nelson trainer was on tile track today with Nelson's Chum and Ockley Wood, and hopes to have Nelsonian O.K. in a day or two.
