PEACE IN PACIFIC
WOMEN’S ORGANISATION DEDICATES WORK PERIODIC CONFERENCES A •women's conference has been organised by the Pan-Papific Women’s Association, to be dedicated to strengthening peace and improving social conditions among Pacific peoples. It is planned to hold conferences every two to five years. Australia and New Zealand are among the charter members. The Pan-Pacific Women's Conference adjourned after adopting resolutions for the promotion of peace and women’s and children’s welfare in the Pacific. Dr. Georgina Sweet, of Melbourne, was elected president.
