ICE SKATING IN AUCKLAND
Sir. — In some of the cities of Australia and in most of the great cities of the world there are Glaciariums. or rinks where by an interesting process. an ice floor for skating is prepared daily. In m3' >*outh. which was spent in England, I used to enjov. each winter, the skating on the ponds near the in which I was born and I have often thought what a delight it would be if one could obtain the facilities for such sport here. Of course, there is ice-skating in the South, sporadically, but natural ice-skating in the North is an impossibility. There is a marked revival of roller-skating in Southern centres. The idea has occurred to me that some tntcrprie ng syndicate might consider the formation
