THIEF GAOLED FOR SIX MONTHS “l SERIOUS OFFENCE” Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Friday. A s<«3tence of six months’ imprisonment was imposed in the Supreme Court today on Herbert Ormond Lawrence for the theft of £BO from the Addington Post Office. “This man has given no previous trouble,” said the Crown Prosecutor. “Tlie difficulty about the case, however, is that, although the offence was unpremeditated, it was a serious one, committed under very serious conditions.
