The Rev. C. G. Scrimgeour performed the ceremony. The bride was given away by her father and wore a charming flounced frock of ivory chiffon relieved with diamente, the skirt dipping to the ankles at the back. Her train-length veil of embroidered Brussels net was arranged with sprays of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of white daffodils, sweet peas and asparagus fern. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Doris Cato, who was i'rocked in pale blue shot taffeta, the sleeveless bodice being made tight-fitting to a lace yoke. The skirt was of tiny picot-eclged frills reaching to her ankles and was finished at the back with a large taffeta bow. She wore blue tulle around her head and carried a shower bouquet of pink and blue sweet peas, daphne and asparagus fern. The little flower girl, June Billman, niece of the bride, was in a pink georgette frock, with tight-fitting sleeveless bodice and tiny frilled picot-edged skirt. S.he wore a pink poke bonnet to match. ITep Victorian posy was of sweet peas, cyclamen and daphne. The best man was Mr. John Leathart, twin brother of the bride. The bride’s mother received her guests wearing a frock of petunia repp and navy hat. AN ENGAGEMENT The engagement is announced of Vera, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Parr, of Auckland, to Dr. Murray Scott, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. R. fJcott, of Invercargill.
