SCHOOLED AT TE RAPA PROMISING JUMPER At Te Rapa on Thursday morning an excellent display of jumping over eight fences on the steeplechase course was given by The Roadman, who is engaged ijn the opening steeplechase event at Ellerslie tomorrow. Although there was no great pace on he went particularly well considering that he was on his own. Yesterday morning he worked soundly over two circuits on the flat ■and pulled up well. Roadman’s trainer, R. Syme, will ride the horse in tomorrow’s race.
