JOCKEY OUT FOR LIFE
CAUGHT HANDLING BATTERY AT PONY MEETING CONNECTED TO SPURS Reed. 1.15 p.m. MELBOURNE, Today. For having been found in possession of a battery at the Fitzroy Pony meetting, J. Antonio was disqualified for life. The stewards allege the battery was concealed under the jockey’s jacket and that wires ran through his riding boots to dummy spurs.
