LYCEUM CLUB GARDENING CIRCLE
MRS. TATTERSFIELD’S HOME VISITED EXCHANGE OF RARE PLANTS The members of the Gardening' Circle of the Lyceum Club were the guests of their convener, Mrs. Tattersfield, at her home, “Puriri Puke,” Allendale Hoad, Mount Albert, on Tuesday. The afternoon had been arranged to facilitate the exchange of rare plants. Mrs. Tattersfield’s garden, though not quite so gay as in summer time, was looking very fresh. The Kennedya covering the trellis beside the potting sheds was a mass of purple, and beds of cowslips and spring bulbs and borders of violets of purple, of red and of double white and blue lent that freshness of youth that is somehow lacking in the hold gaiety of the summer garden. Afternoon tea was served in the drawing room. Among those present were: Mrs. Tattersfield, Mrs. Dickenson. Mrs. Hammond-Hyde, Mrs. Howard. Mrs. Brooks, Mrs. J. Johnston, Mrs. Fuller, Mrs. S.
