NEW SECRETARY APPOINTED MR. W. J. SHORT The committee of the Franklin Racing Club has appointed Mr. W. J. Short, Pukekohe, to the office of secretary of the club, in succession to Mr. A. P. Baysh, who recently resigned. Mr. Short is well known in the South Auckland district. He has been secretary of the South Auckland Rugby Union for some years, and \> as also for a considerable period secretary of the Pukekohe Rugby Union.
