STRAND
“THE GREAT DIVIDE” “The Great Divide,” First National's spectacular adaptation of the famous stage play, aided and beautified by the charming star, Dorothy Mackaill, is the chief attraction at the Strand Theatre. The picture, a romance of Arizona and Mexico, is one of Miss Mackaill’s very finest vehicles. “The Great Divide” is a colourful, well-made production. The story is diverted by the novelty of a Mexican fiesta, with many charming dancing scenes, but Reginald Barker, the director, brings one back to the plot with easy skill. A second attraction is being shown in “Dance Hall,” a daring drama of dancing feet, laughing eyes and luring lips, starring Olive Borden and Arthur Lake.
