TOXEUMA'S WIN

BEST FLAT PERFORMANCE AT RICCARTON As Aurora Borealis has all right to be considered the best chaser of the winter season, so too does Toxeuma lay claims to much of this distinction on the flat. Pie took on the Southern trip for two efforts —the Brabazon Handicap at the Hunt Meeting, and the Winter Cup, romping home in both event«. The latter particularly was a fine performance. He had occasion to carry 11.5, and two furlongs from home a victory for the top-weight seemed assured. For sheer tenacity and stamina Toxeuma takes a power of beating when at his best, and this performance will go down as one of his best to date Toxeuma appreciates an easy track and is a master of weight, so that a good spring handicap is well within his reach.
