WANTED TO DANCE

TROUBLE AT NEWMARKET John Morgan and Solomon Mundy tried to paint Newmarket red on Saturday evening, but merely tinged it with pink before the police arrived and collected them. Morgan and Mundy, both labourers, aged 30 and 31. respectively pleaded guilty at the Police Court today, to being disorderly while drunk, at the Municipal Hall, Newmarket. According to Sub-Inspector Shanahan, both men, who were drunk got into the Newmarket Hall on Saturday evening at 11.55 o'clock while a dance was in progress.

“They became offensive to some women in the hall and when asked to get out they gave the M.C. a lot of trouble.” said the sub-inspector. “The police had to be called to stop the trouble.”

Mr. Hunt: Are they working? “Yes.” said the sub-inspector. Mr. Hunt: £2 or 7 days each.
