HOCKEY PLAYER HURT A fracture of the right leg was received by Mr. James Lawson. of Tuakau, while he was playing football at Tuak.au on Saturday afternoon. He was given medical attention and was later brought in to the Auckland Hospital by private motor-car. His condition is not serious.

A blow on the head while she was playing hockey at the Remuera grounds caused concussion to Miss Loris Andrews, aged 18, who lives at the Y.W.C.A. Hostel, Upper Queen Street. The girl returned to the hostel after the match, hut in the evening a doctor had to be called, and he ordered her removal to the Auckland Hospital Her condition this morning was unchanged. _
