MOTOR-BOAT DESTROYED
FIRE IN BOATSHED Press Association DUNEDIX, Sunday. Shortly after 10 o'clock on Saturday night a Are broke out in a boatshed at Vauxhall, which contained the speed-boat June 11., owned by Mr. W. Hewitt, who is also the owner of the shed, and another boat belonging to Mr. Cutten. The South Dunedin Fire Brigade went to the fire, but no water was available, and the firemen could do little. The shed and its contents were destroyed.
The shed was insured for £25 in the Mercantile and General Office and the motor-boat, which was considered one of the best speedboats on the harbour, for £725 in the same office. The .use of the fire is not known.
