CHARITY ENTERTAINMENTS

Large audiences attended the charity entertainments given in the Regent and Lyric Theatres last evening. An excellent selection of concerted numbers was given by Whiteford Waugh’s orchestra, at the Regent Theatre, while vocal and solo instrumental numbers were given by assisting artists. The film, “The Prodigal Son,” was also screened. At tho Lyric Theatre an orchestra of 14 played selections and well-known vocalists contributed several items. The picture, “Blue Skies,” was also shown.
