“St. Cuthbert” and “The Man Who Stood Alone” will be Canon Fancourt’s subjects at the services in the Cathedral, St. Alary’s, Parnell. Canon Grant Cowen will conduct the morning service Matthew’s, Wellesley Street. In the evening a musical festival service consisting of Mendelssohn’s works will be held. “The Atinistry of Afusic” will be the Rev. W. Lawson Marsh’s subject at the evening service in St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Devonport. The 42nd anniversary of the Balmoral Presbyterian Church will be celebrated tomorrow. Special services will bo conducted by the Rev. G. H. Gilbert, of Hamilton, who will preach on “The Church and Her Message,” “Living the Truth As Well As Speaking It,” and “A ATodern Crusade; the Banner of the Lord.” .... The first of a special series of lectures on Spiritualism will be given at the Unity I-lall tomorrow afternoon. Air. R. A. Laidlaw will speak on ‘‘^ ari the Dead Communicate with the Living?” “A Fearful Saint” and “Straight from the Shoulder” will be the Rev. Albert V Whiting’s subjects at the services in the Beresford Street Congregational Church. A prayer meeting will be held on Tuesday evening. The Auckland Higher Thought Centre will conduct a musical worship service at 6.30 tomorrow evening. The Temple orchestra of 20, supported by a number of well-known singers, will take part. The Rev. H. A. G. Clark and the Rev. A. S. Wilson will conduct the services at the Grange Road Baptist Church. “Law and Grace” and “Who Am I? will be the Rev. T. N. Cuttle's subjects at the Somervell Presbyterian Church, Remuera. o * * The Rev. E. T. Olds will preach In the morning at the Methodist Central Mission, Airedale Street. In the evening an evangelistic service will be held at France Street. The Rev. A. H. Dallimore will conduct revival fire services at the Covenant Hall, Wellesley Street West. A men’s brotherhood meeting will be held in the Y.M.C.A. tomorrow afternoon. “Soul” will be the subject of the sermon at the services in the First Church of Christ, Scientist, Symonds Street. The Christa del ph lans will hold a fellowship meeting in the Freemasons Hall tomorrow morning. In the evening a lecture on “Palestine and the Jew” will be given by Mr. W. Anderson, of Wellington. At the International Bible Students’ meeting Mr. H. Archer will speak on “Bearing Fruit to Jehovah.” The Rev. Otene Paora -will hold a service in the Orakei Native Reserve. * * * At the 7 p.m. service in the Christian Spiritualist Church, Air. Hopkinson will speak on “Spiritualism: Fact or Fancy.” Alusic Week will be observed in the Pitt Street Church. In the evening a special musical service has been arranged, when solos will be given by Alisses Rosieur and Payne, and Air. J. Cameron. Mr. R. B. Bickerton will play two organ solos. The Rev. W. Walker will preach on “The Ministry of Music.” The annual service under the auspices of the Freemasons of the Ponsonby Lodge, No. 54, will be held on Sunday morning at St. John’s Methodist Church, Ponsonby Road. The Very Worshipful Bro. the Rev. E. Drake, P.G.C., will give an address. The anthem will be Gounod’s “Send Out Thy Light.” At the evening service the Rev. Geo. Frost will preach on “Positive Protestantism” and the choir ■will sing Woodward’s anthem “Comes, at times, a stillness.”
