EDUCATION CONTROL
OBJECTIONS TO CHANGES The action of the Auckland Education Board in objecting to the attempt to centralise educational control at Wellington was endorsed in a resolution passed at a meeting of the Royal Oak School Committee. The committee also entered a strong protest against any change in the present system of control under education boards, and reached the opinion that the suggestion of central control at Wellington was a retrograde step, not in the best interests of education in New Zealand.
