CRYSTAL PALACE, MOUNT EDEN
The artificial glamour of the night life of New York is clearly brought out in "The Woman Racket,” at the Crystal Palace Theatre. Tom Moore has the part of - a detective-sergeant, and Blanche Sweet is given ample opportunity to demonstrate her capabilities as a singer in several night club scenes. She appears as a hostess at a notorious night C I U V% Who ’ convir »ced of the emptiness oi life, renounces it and marries a policeman who had permitted her to escape during a raid. The supporting programme is of exceptionally high merit. A number of very effective singing and dancing numbers are presented, and add considerably to the enjoyment of the entertainment.
