HOSPITAL CHIEF PRAISED

TRIBUTE TO DR. VALINTINE WAIKATO APPRECIATION - From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Thursday. Warm tributes to the work of Dr. T. H. A. Valintine, Director-General of Hospitals, who is retiring shortly, were paid by the Waikato Hospital Board at today’s meeting. Mr. J. J. Ryburn said it was Dr. Valintine who was chiefly responsible for creating one of the finest hospital systems in the world. He had also greatly increased the number of maternity homes and his policy had always been wise and far-sighted. The following resolution was carried:—“That this board regrets to learn that Dr. T. H. A. Valintine intends to retire, and places on record its high appreciation of The very satisfactory association which has Always obtained between him and the board; that the board extends good wishes for many years of health and happiness in his retirement.”
