LYRIC THEATRE

“ITS A GREAT LIFE” The principal feature at the Lyric Theatre is entitled “It’s a Great Life.” in which the musical comedy favourites, the Duncan Sisters, have their first talking and singing chance on the screen. “It’s a Great Life” would be a very interesting story, even if it were not enlivened by the antics of the inimitable stars, the Duncan Sisters, and nearly a dozen brandnew catchy songs. It plants the Duncans as clerks in a department store, and they are dismissed ibecause Rosetta “ad libs” on a rah rah type of “organisation song,” euphoniougly named “Smile, Smile, Smile, with Mandelbaum and Weil.” Bright talkie shorts are also being shown.
