TAUPIRI NOTES

At a fully attended meeting of the Taupiri School Committee it was unanimously agreed to enter an emphatic protest against the proposed centralisation of educational control in Wellington. It was the opinion of members of the committee that little, if any, economy would be effected by the proposed changes. The committee had every confidence in the Auckland Education Board-

While assisting in the house of his employer, Mr. McDonald, of Kainui, Taupiri, Mr. Vernon Aley fell from a ladder. Striking his head on the mantelpiece, he became unconscious, and was admitted to the Hamilton Hospital. The extent of his injury is not yet known.
