GAOL FOR LABOURER With 39 previous convictions against hint, Thoralf Oswald George Knudsen appeared at the Police Court today. He pleaded guilty to being found on enclosed premises without lawful excuse. ' “At 5.15 this morning a constable found Knudsen, who is a seaman and labourer, asleep in an outbuilding between Neal’s Lane and Qyeen Street,” said Sub-Inspector Shanahan. “He had no excuse to offer and the constable had warned him about the same thing two nights ago. He has already had 39 convictions, and is not long out from serving a three months’ term.” Mr. Hunt: There’s only one thing to do —send him back. Three months.
