500 AFTERNOON

ONEHUNGA CROQUET CLUB An enjoyable “five hundred*’ afternoon organised by Mrs. F. C. Patterson and Mrs. J. B. Crawford was held in the pavilion of the Onehunga Croquet Club on Tuesday, the object being to raise funds for improvements to the new greens. At: the close of the afternoon Mrs. Patterson presented the prizes to the successful winners, Mrs. Temporton and Mrs. J. V- Warren. Mrs. Patterson wore a frock of navy blue silk and smart navy and silver hat. Mrs. Crawford was wearing a grey bengaline frock and bottle-green felt hat. Among those present were:—Mrs. A. Kenny, Mrs. S. Vella, Mrs. W. T. Court, Mrs. Len Bray, Mrs. J. Y. Warren, Mrs. A. Brown, Mrs. Trevor George, Mrs. Tomperton, Mrs. J. E. Cowell. Mrs. H. Davy, Miss Hickman, Miss Syms.
