PUKEKOHE STOCK SALE Special to THE SUN ' PUKEKOHE. Thursday. A large yarding of dairy cows came forward at the stock sale at Pukekohe today conducted by Messrs. Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited. Best cows and heifers realised £ll 10s to £l3; other good cows and heifers, £9 10s to £11; slightly backward cows and heifers, £7 10s to £9; more backward and inferior cows. £4 10s to £6. There was a fair yarding of beef. Heavy fat cows made £3O 10s to £l2: medium fat cows, £8 10s to £9 7s 6d; boner cows, £3 10s to £5 15s; store cows brought £4 to £6 ss. Pigs were penned in slightly in-v creased numbers. Heavy baconers realised £3 8s to £3 12s; light and medium. £2 18s to £ 3 4s; heavy porkers, £2 12s to £2 16s; light and medium porkers, £2 6s to £2 10s; small and unfinished porkers, £1 18s to £2 2s. There was a keen demand for store pigs, and prices were a shade firmer than of late. Best-framed stores realised £1 19s to £2 4s; smaller, £1 16s to £ 1 19s; good slips. £ 1 9s to £1 14s: best weaners, £1 4s to £1 8s; smaller weaners, 17s to £1 Is.
