TROTTING OWNER TRYING SISTER SPORT ANOTHER JEWEL POINTER? Mr. M. J. Moodabe, who a season or two ago had a wonderful run 0 f success as a trotting owner, chiefly through the agency of that great pacer Jewel Pointer, has now joined the ranks of galloping owners. The exlight harness enthusiast has procured from the Misses Edwards, 0 f Otahuhu, the three-year-old colt by Kilbroney from Danesia, to which special reference was recently made by “Abaydos” in a review of the Mar--1 dell stud farm stock. The colt, a handsome and well det veloped youngster, is bred on royal ! lines. His sire, Kilbroney. i* by Jhe | Wag. a son of Orme. while his dam ! Innismakil, was a grand-daughter of | Ben d’Or. Danesia. dam of the youngster, is a daughter of Prince Meriwee and Te i Papapa, a mare that raced success- ! fully in this province. Te Papain. I was by Marble Arch from Momi, a daughter of Hotchkiss, and as a threeI year-old showed high-class form | After winning a maiden plate at the | Avondale spring meeting of 1915. T® j Papapa won the Great Northern ! Guineas, and followed this classic vici tory up by scoring at Te Aroha and Paeroa. The Marble Arch filly g n . ished up the season by winning the j Autumn Handicap at Avondale, a nine- ! furlong event, in fine style from a good field. Danesia, her daughter, neve- ; raced.
