FIRE IS STILL SERIOUS ABOARD STEAMER MESSAGE FROM BROOKWOOD Reed. 9.15 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. Another hole is being cut in the engine-room bulkhead of the steamer Brookwood, which is afire. The fire is still serious and the gases are bad. but the crew is well. The Brookwood has wirelessed requesting steamers nearby to prepare to assist ;t necessary.
