AFTER 27 YEARS

COUNTY CLERK RESLGNS > From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Tuesday. Mr. Thomas Baker Insoll, who has been clerk of the Waikato County Council for the past 27 years, resigned at a meeting of the council today. There have only been two clerks to the council since its inception in 1877, Captain James McPherson, a Maori War veteran, and Mr. Insoll. Reference to Mr. Insoll’s long and faithful service was made today by the chairman, Mr. T. Hinton, who wished Mr. Insoll many years in which to enjoy his retirement. Mr. Insoll was granted six months’ leave on full salary. His resignation will not take effect until the end of April, but applications to fill the vacancy will be called immediately*
