TAXI-DRIVER REMANDED
ALLEGED ASSAULT AND THEFT Charged with assault and with stealing a wallet. Frederick Cunningham. a taxi-driver, aged 30, who pleaded not guilty at the Police Court today, was remanded until August 20. Accused, who was represented by Mr. J. J. Sullivan, was charged with, on August 8, assaulting Alfred Cordes. He was also charged with stealing a wallet containing pension certificates and 10s in cash, of a total value of £l, from the person of Louis Alfred Cordes, on the same date. Detective-Sergeant Kelly asked for a remand until August 20, which was granted by Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M. On the application of Mr. J. J. Sullivan, bail was allowed in one surety of £IOO.
