STOLE FROM EMPLOYER
PROBATION FOR YOUTH Probation for two years was the lot of Cyril Arthur Rankin, who came up for sentence at the Police Court today on a charge of theft of £6. Rankin, a labourer, aged 18, was charged with stealing £6, the property of D. E. Campbell, of Pukekohe. on July 30. “He got a job with a Pukekohe farmer and stole £6 in cash from a wallet which was hidden under a mattress in his employers bedroom.” said Sub-Inspector Shanahan. On the recommendation of Mr. W. J. Campbell, probation officer. Mr. Hunt admitted Rankin to probation for two years and ordered him to make restitution of the money taken.
