NEW ZEALANDERS ABROAD

From Our Own Correspondent LONDON, July 11. Mrs. R. McVeagh. of Auckland, and the two Misses MeVeagh have been spending some time in London. They leave shortly on a tour of England and Scotland, and afterward plan to visit the Continent and go to Oberammergau to see the Passion Play. Miss Janet Murray, who is at present staying in London prior to touring England and Scotland, was a guest recently at an At Home given by Mrs. Philip Snowden at 11 Downing Street. The Rev. P. S. Stnallfleld, accompanied by Mrs. Smallfield, Miss Smaillleld and the Misses Jackson, Mrs. Smalltield’s sisters, all of Epsom, is visiting places of interest in England and Scotland. They will soon make a tour of the Continent. * * * Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Gifford and the Misses Gifford, of Auckland, are touring the Continent. They return to England for Cowes week and after that will motor round England, Scotland and Wales. Miss Daphne -Henderson and Mrs. Anderson, of Auckland, accompanied by Miss McLean, of Wanganui, are on the Continent, and will arrive in London shortly. Miss Una Smith, of Hawke’s Bay, spent two months in South Africa on her way to England. She intends to visit Oberammergau, and is also planning a Mediterranean cruise. Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Winstone, of Auckland, and their son Wilfrid, intend to tour the British Isles before leaving for a visit to the Continent. Mr. and Mrs. V. W. Lorigan and their daughter have taken a Hat in London. They are planning a tour of England and Scotland for the near future.

Mrs. J. W. Flynn and her sister. Miss Nellie Gray, of Auckland, are in London. They leave for Norway at the end of the month.

Mrs. J. Templeton, of Christchurch, who has been touring England, is at present visiting the Continent. When she returns to this country Mrs. Templeton will do a further tour of England and then go to Scotland.

Mrs. M. C. Guise, of Auckland, and her daughter have taken a flat in London for three months. They have just toured the South Coast by car, and will go to the Continent later on.
