Mrs. Scobie McKenzie, of Wellington. is at the Grand Hotel. Miss Dolly Vaile left by the Aorangi last evening on a visit to Western Australia. Miss A. D. Crosby, of Sydney, is visiting Auckland and is at Hotel Stonehurst. Mrs. Alexander Bell, of Remuera, left by the Aorangi last evening on a visit tp Sydney. Miss McElroy, of Feildinp. and Mrs. A. D. Floyd, of Cambridge, are staying at the Star Hotel. Mrs. E. H. Perks, of South Africa, is a visitor to Auckland and is staying at the Grand Hotel. • * • Mrs. C. C. Best, of Kedah, Malay States, arrived in Auckland this morning to spend a holiday with her relatives. Mrs. and Miss Heath Freest, of Lavarth, Remuera, are visiting Hamilton and are guests of Miss J. Freest. Mr. and Mrs. H. Underwood, of Wellington, and Mr. and Mrs. J, Beattie, of London, are among the guests at the Hotel Cargen. • * * Mr. and Mrs. F. M. Warren and Miss Dora Warren, of Christchurch, and Mrs. J. Doak-Rice, of Chicago, are at the Grand Hotel. * * * Mrs. Hillyer Harbutt arrived from Sydney by the Maunganui this morning on a visit to her mother, who lives in Mount Albert. * • * Mrs. S. Burling and Miss E. Burling, of Masterton, returned by the Aorangi from an overseas visit and are staying at the Hotel Cargen. • * * Miss Gladys Palmer, of Suva. Fiji, is visiting Auckland and is the guest of Mrs. J. 15. Parkinson, of Pencorrow Avenue. Mount Eden. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Gaudin, who been spending a holiday in Australia, returned to Auckland this morning by the Maunganui. • * * Dr. and Mrs. Frank Macky returned to Auckland by the Maunganui this morning, after spending a holiday in Sydney and Melbourne. • * * Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Court, who have been touring abroad for the past 13 months, returned to Auckland this morning by the Maunganui. • • * The Misses J. and P. Riddiford, who returned by the Aorangi from a visit to Hawaii, lire staying; at the Grand Hotel prior to returning to Lower Hutt. Mrs. H. Baker, of Hamilton, is visiting Auckland. Mrs. Baker came to meet her sister-in-law, Miss Mabel Baker, who has been doing journalistic work ■in Hollywood for the last six months, and who returned by the Aorangi this week.
