OPOTIKI WEDDING
FRILLED BRIDAL FROCK PATTERSON—SHALFOON The marriage took place at St. Mary’s Church, Opotiki, on Monday of Hind© Sadie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Shalfoon, of Opotiki. to Mr. Raymond Washington Patterson, of Auckland. The Rev. Father Smiers conducted the ceremony. The bride, who carried a shower bouquet, wore a frock of ivory chiffon de sel, tho skirt being composed of dainty frills, which formed an uneven hem. The net and lace veil, which was swathed and caught with clusters of orange blossom over each ear. fell to a long train. The bridesmaid was Miss Mary Shalfoon. who wore a gown of lemon silk georgette and lace, the skirt falling into a pretty flair. She wore a large crinoline hat to match, and carried a shower bouquet of golden wattle and daffodils. Mr. B. Culpan, of Auckland, was best man. After the ceremony a reception was held in the Farmers’ Social Room, where Mrs. Shalfoon received the guests wearing a frock of black marietta silk with a black hat to match.
The bride’s travelling frock was of rose beige beaut© with a coat and hat to match.
