MARTON ON SEPTEMBER 6 ENTRIES NEXT FRIDAY During the present racing season the Marton Jockey Club will hold three meetings, these extending over four days, including one-day meetings in tlio spring and winter and a two-day fixture in midsummer. The following programme has been approved for the spring meeting, which will be held on Saturday, September Trial Plate, of £300; 6 furlongs. Rata Hack Hurdles, of £130; 1* miles. Spring Hack Cup, of £l6O (including a silver cup valued at £2O, presented by Mr. A. T. Gatrell); 7 furlongs. Marton Handicap (open), of £200; 11 miles. Hack Cup Steeplechase, of £135; 25 miles. Tutaenui Hack, of £130; 1 mile and 137 yards. Railway Handicap (open), of £170; G furlongs. Electric Hack, of £130: 5 furlongs. Entries for all events close at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 15.
