ELECTION OF OFFICERS Front Our Own Correspondent TE AWAMUTU, Friday. .V meeting of those interested in the formation of a gun club was held at Te Awamutu on Thursday evening, Mr. F. J. Quin presiding. Mr. AN'. AVoolven, of Hamilton, gave some Information as to the formation and conduct of a club. Tho election of officers resulted: President, Mr. Francis Quin: vice-pre-sidents, Messrs. M. 11. Tims, AV. 11. McNair, R. G. Hodges, J. Minolta in, J. Hutchinson, J. T. Young, R. AY. Gibson. A. J. McGovern. J. Dunleavv, C. G. Downes. J. H. Burns, G. AY. D. Osborne, E. Pretty, F. E. Loomb and \V. H. Bell and Dr. F. C. Blundell; secretary and treasurer, Air. C. Reilly: committee. Messrs. L. Marsh, F. J. Quin, T. Liddell, D. Fitzgerald. AY. 11. Holmes, A. Zori merman, L. Harford. F. Kerr. A. Marsh and T. 71 inn ton. Mr. E. J. Ramsbottom was elected honorary trapper.
Tt was decided to affiliate with the New Zealand Gun Clubs’ Association. The opening shoot was fixed for Wednesday, August 20. and it was decided to invite the neighbouring clubs of Hamilton, Morrinsvillo and Otorohanga to be represented. Mr. AA*. AVoolven was appointed referee and handicapper. His offer to donate a quantity of equipment was accepted with thanks.
