RELIEVING OFFICER
POLICE INSPECTOR FROM WELLINGTON ARRIVAL OF MR. LANDER Inspector J. Lander, of 'Wellington, arrived in Auckland this morning to relieve Inspector Mcllveney as officer in charge of the metropolitan area. Mr Mcllveney is acting superintendent of the Auckland district, following the promotion of Mr. Wohlmann to the commissionership. An announcement of the appointment of Auckland’s new superintendent is expected shortly.
