KING COUNTRY TITLES From Our Own Correspondent TAUMARUNUI, Tuesday. The final game in the King Country amateur billiards championships was played last evening, resulting in a win for C. A. Stevenson over C. McLay. The winner gained points (1.000) when his opponent was 889. Stevenson ran out to the thousand mark with an unfinished break of 40, his average being 9-A McLay’s average was BJ. At the close of the game Mr. W. Robson, on behalf of the promoter, handed the cup to the winner. A presentation by the various players was made to Mr. J. Vuicli for arranging the tournament.
