TOY DOG SHOW
PEKINGESE AND CAT CLUB The New Zealand Pekingese and Persian Cat Club held its first parade of Pekingese dogs in the Unity Hall on Saturday afternoon. There was a good attendance of exhibiting owners and visitors. Mr. F. M. Sharp was judge, and the show was under the direction of Mr. Wright. Excellent quality was evidence in the dogs on exhibition, and even tho junior classes were of a high standard. The following were the awards: Puppy (dob) under 3 months: Mrs. Bedford’s Tula Ah Bon 1, Mrs. Asher’s Tula Ah Wee 2. Puppy (dog) under (» months: Mrs. A. Puppy (dog) under 12 months: Mrs. Bedford’s Tula Bumble Bee 1, Mrs. Bedford’s Mali Jong 2, Mrs A. Allen’s Kwang Jo Jo 3. Novice (dog): Mrs. Moore’s Tai Ping 1, Mrs. L. Le Rov’s Whang Chu 2. Open (dog): Mr. and Mrs. Marshall’s Tai Pin of Alderbourne 1, Mr. Butcher's Lo Lu Ly'on 2, Mrs. Bedford’s Tula Bumble Bee 3. Stud (dog): Mr. and Mrs. Marshall’s Tai Pin of Alderbourne 1, Mr. Butcher's Zealandia Mie Mie 2, Mrs. Bedford’s Tula Bumble Bee 3. Puppy (bitch), under 3 months: Mrs. Bedford’s Tula Ah Wag 1. Pekingese dog or bitch with most le. mouth combined with strength of jaw . Mrs. Hornblow’s Sen Yah Wing Tang. Best coated Pekingese, either sex: Mr. Futcher’s Zealandie Mie Mie. Best stud Pekingese dog: Mr. and Mrs. Marshall's Tai Pin of Alderbourne. Best brace of Pekingese, either sex: Mrs. Bedford’s Tula Bumble Bee and Mah Jong. Kxhibitor gaining most points: Mrs. Bedford. TROPHIES PRESENTED At the conclusion of the judging afternoon tea was given to exhibitors and friends, and Mrs. Moore, wife of the club’s president, presented the splendidly decorated ribbons which constituted the trophies of the afternoon.
