MONEY TAKEN FROM ROOM
FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION’S LOSS From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. The residence of Mr. F. W. Mead, Young Street, Claudelands, was entered on Saturday afternoon while the family was away and £l6 stolen from various rooms. The money included £l2, belonging to the South Auckland Football Association, of which Mr. Mead was secretary. Mrs. Mead returned at 5 p.m. and heard a noise, but the intruder had time to escape. Several valuable trophies, owned by the association, were untouched.
