WEEK-END ACCIDENTS

Through the capsize'.of a mo tor-eye hwith side-car when the driver swerved to avoid a pedestrian at the corner of East Street and Symonds Street at 10 o’clbck on Saturday evening, Mrs. Olive Anderson, of 14 Millais Street. Grey Lynn, received a compound fracture of the right leg. The injured woman was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the ambulance. Her condition is not serious. A fracture of the skull was received by Mr. William John Ball when he fell down some steps on Saturday even Inc. Mr. Ball is aged 33 and lives at 23 Douglas Street. Ponsonby. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John Ambulance. His condition this morning was fairly serious. When pillion-riding on a motor-cycle in Symonds Street at about 10.30 last evening. Miss Violet Sharp. of 21 Waverley Street, City, fell from the seat as the machine sskidded and suffered injuries to her head. She was admitted to the hospital, but her injuries are not serious.

A compound fracture of the right teir was received by Mr. Frederick Ker. aged 34. of 5 Rawene Avenue, Grey Lynn, when he was knocked down by a motor-car on College Hill on Saturday. He is in the Auckland Hospital.
