POOR MEETING
POVERTY BAY HUNT KINSEL WINS HANDICAP Presa Association GISBORNE, Saturday. The annual meeting of the Poverty Bay Hunt. Club was held today in fine but threatening weather. The fields*, especially in the junipers’ events, were small, due largely to the fact that few outside horses were present. In former years the hunt club meeting was always held one week after the Gisborne Racing Club's steeplechase meeting, but this year, due to the visit of the British Rugby team, the Gisborne Racing Club’s meeting was advanced one week, and visiting owners could not see their way clear to keep their horses here for a fortnight for the Hunt Club meeting. The totalizator handled £6,290, compared with £11,673 last year. Results: , l i u " ta , r *' Hurdle*, of £80; 1J miles.— 2 1 all Timber. 10.13 (J. Walsh), l; i Coonardoo, 10.0 (L. Dulieu), 2.
