TWO OUTBREAKS OF FIRE
ONE HOUSE DESTROYED Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. A six-roomed house owned by George Findlay, a baker, of Hastings, was totally destroyed by fire yesterday evening. The house had been tenanted by Mr. H. R. Murray and his family, but they had vacated it on Friday and at the time of the outbreak it was unoccupied. A second outbreak occurred at two o’clock this morning in a house in Riverslea Road, occupied by Mr. J. S. Wright. The flames had a good hold when the brigade arrived, but they soon had them subdued and not a great deal of damage was done. The insurance was £2oi> on the furniture in the bun Office.
