Mac Hugh, who had been appointed radiologist to the Wellington Hospital, has cabled to the board that he is unable to accept the position owing to unforeseen circumstances. Mr. H. J. G. Bond, Dominion superintendent and director of the New Zealand Shipping Company, left Wellington yesterday by the Tahiti on a business trip to Sydney. Messrs. W. J. Jordan, W. E. Parry, H. G. R- Mason, G. C. Munns. A. E. Ansell, A. Harris. H. M. Rushworth, V'. L. Martin, A. M. Samuel, R Semple, C. E. Macmillan, W. P. Endean and C. H. Clinkard, M.P.’s, were passengers on the Limited this morning. Mr. W. J. E. Eason, M.A., of the Wellington Boys’ College, left by the Niagara on her last trip for Fiji, to take up the position of head of the secondary department of the Indian Boys’ School at Natabua, three miles from Lautoka. Mr. A. H. Payne, of Christchurch, will replace Mr. Eason at the Wellington College. Mr. A. Kempthorne, of the Eastern Extension Cable Company, returned to New Zealand in the Corinthic. He has been for some time in Australia, including Port Darwin, where he spent the last two years, and returned to New Zealand at the conclusion of a journey round the world.
