FEDERATION OF TEACHERS
PLEASANT SOCIAL EVENING FOLLOWS MEETING Last evening the first meeting of the Federation of Teachers of Auckland was held in the assembly hall of the Seddon Memorial Technical College. This is the first opportunity that teachers of the primary, secondary and technical schools of Auckland have had to meet together in a social manner. Small tables had been arranged in the hall at which the guests sat, and as each teacher wore a badge on which was written his or her name, introductions were unnecessary. After an address on educational matters by Professor A. B. Fitt, professor of education at the Auckland University, a general discussion took placeSupper made by the domestic science pupils of the Seddon Memorial College under the direction of Miss Moncur was dispensed by some of the girls. Among those present were: Miss E. M. Johnston, Miss F. G. Taylor and Miss K. Edgerley, members of the executive, and Miss A. N. Louden, Miss J. Stewart, Miss Hull, Miss Collins, Miss McDonnell, Miss Taylor, Miss M. Taylor, Miss F. Patterson, Mrs. Miles, Mrs. Ward, Miss Dive, Miss Smith, Miss Ryan, Miss Spargo, Miss Wright, Miss Robertson, Miss Ward, Miss Ross, Miss Mansfield, Miss Cozens, Miss M. Hay Miss Finlay, Miss Muir, Miss Devereux Miss C. Fotheringham, Miss Virtue, Miss W Smith, Miss Vickery, Miss Monour Miss AI. G. Anderson, Aliss L. Anderson Miss Kitson, • Aliss Dee, Mrs. Chisholm.
