Th© Bank of New Zealand has received the following advice from its London office as to the close of business this week: “Frozen Meat.—-The wether market for first grades is improving; for ewes trade is slow; for lambs there is a good demand. It is thought prices will remain steady at present quotations. For beef there is a better demand. Wethers, light, make 4Jd to s|d per lb: heavy, 4d to 4Ad. Ewes. 2Ad to 3£d. Lambs, twos. BAd to 9d: eights, B£d to 9d; fours, 81<f to BAd: seconds, 7Ad to Bd. Ox hinds. 43d to s£d; fores, 2|d to 3Jd. Cow hinds. 4.}d to 43d; fores, 2Ad to 23d.’’
