NORTHCOTE EX-SERVICEMEN
ASSOCIATION FORMED
Many ex-service men residing in the Borough of Northcote attended a meeting held in the Council Chambers last evening and decided to form an exservice men’s association. The following were elected a provisional committee: —Chairman, Mr. W. Fullbrook; vice-chairman, Mr. C. Adamson; honorary secretary. Air. J. F Jackson; honorary treasurer, Mr. F. Tounsend; committee, Messrs. F. Tounsend, W. Rackitt, T. Warburton, A. Stillwell, V. Somerville, and A Blaokledge. A further meeting will be held in a week’s time for the purpose of electing permanent officers. Before dispersing, those present stood in silence for a minute in memory of Mr. E. J. Fraser, an ex-service man. and tho secretary was instructed to convey to the relatives of Mr. Fraser and Mrs. Ralston their deepest sympathy in their bereavement, and also to Mr. Clement Peters, also an ex-service man, who was injured in the recent motor accident at Albany.
