THOUSANDS JOIN TREK OVER ITALIAN BORDER

FLIGHT FROM FACISM MAKING FOR FRANCE United P.A.—Ky Telegraph—Copyright Reccl. 9.5 a.m. LONDON, Tuesday. The “Daily Mail's" correspondent at Zermatt, Switzerland, describes a clandestine exodus of Italians and says: “While I was talking to a wellknown Alpine guide 40 haggard Italians who had fled their own country trudged past us on their way to France. “The guide said if this continued there "would be nobody left in Italy 10 years hence. He stated that from 10,000 to 20,000 had crossed the frontier this year and braved the glaciers and the bullets of the carabineri, while groups of 10 or 20 almost daily evaded the Fascist vigilance.
