FOR BIG HURDLES
LLYN DU AND NATIONAL ENGAGED AT AWAPUNI TOMORROW According to reports from the South, Llyn Du is more than pleasing in his preparation for the National Hurdles. He certainly gave a taste of his jumping ability at Napier Park, being perhaps the best ever seen for a novice, but the distance of August’s big hurdles may find him out, as a look through the past records of the race reveals the fact that for this event “it is an old dog for a hard road.” Llyn Du is down to run at Arapuni tomorrow, and despite his stiff impost he looks a first-class proposition.
